fast paced world

we live in a fast paced world. working in a restaurant you see so many people. some take the time to eat. some are in a hurry. almost every night i see cars lining up across from us at mcdonalds. it makes me wonder who these people are. why do they line up at the drive thru. when maybe inside it's not busy. i understand there's some hassle of going inside. however when it's taking 15mins to get your food. it seems better to get inside.
it is so difficult to live a slow paced life. even today my day seem to go fast. orders coming after another. people want to be served quickly. in these times of busyness, we need to find time to slow down. for those of us who are christians, we need time to be quiet. this is a challenge to all. yes we know but how much are we making an effort. this is something i too need to do. slow down, eat slowly, be still and quiet.
